- Tyre Mobility Kit could be rolled out across the range in the future
Tata Tiago, Tigor XZ+ and XZA+ updated
What Tata Motors calls the Tyre Mobility Kit has been introduced on the top-spec XZ+ and XZA+ variants of the Tiago and Tigor. These variants will get a spare tyre, as earlier, and we are told that it will continue to be offered.
The Tyre Mobility Kit on the Tata Tigor and Tiago is placed below the driver’s seat and consists of a tyre pressure monitor that can be charged using the car’s USB slot and a liquid that can be used to repair a puncture.
Tata dealers have said that while this additional kit is only available on the top-spec variants, depending on demand, it’ll be rolled out across the range later.
Tata Tiago, Tigor: What you need to know
Tata’s budget hatchback and compact sedan share their 86hp, 1.2-litre three cylinder engine - which isn’t the most refined or frugal of the contenders in their respective segments - and 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox options. The Tiago and Tigor impress with their matured dynamics and sturdy build; they almost feel like they are from a class above. Nonetheless, the Tiago is expensive compared to its rivals and the Tigor isn’t as spacious as its compact sedan competitors.
Both models are decent sellers for Tata Motors too - 27,245 units of the Tiago and 7,688 units of the Tigor have been sold since the beginning of 2021.
